On the edge of new cooperation

On March 14 in Bogatyr Coal LLP the trade union conference of Batyr Komir local trade union took place, in the work of which the delegates of the coal enterprise employees took part. Among the invited people there were the representatives of the administration, heads of directions and structural subdivisions of the partnership, and also Chairman of Kazakhstan Branch Trade Union of Power Engineers Public Association (Kazenergoprofsoyuz) Orazbek Bekbas. In the course of the conference the decision was made about Batyr Komir local trade union joining Kazenergoprofsoyuz.

The conference started from the approval of the composition of the executive committee of Batyr Komir local trade union. The candidates, the discussion of whom had been taken place in all the structural subdivisions of the enterprise, were adopted unanimously.

In the composition of the executive committee the following people were elected: Chairman of the trade union committee Kairula Turatayev, his deputy - Vladimir Skvortsov. The representatives of the executive committee of the trade union from Bogatyr coal mine Sergey Mikhailyuk, Konstantin Nikiforov and Vasiliy Pechyonyy were approved, from Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department - Vasiliy Kulinskiy, Aleksandr Nazarenko and Nikolay Golubev, from Mining and Transportation Equipment Maintenance Plant - Viktor Slobodenyuk. The trade organization of Railroad Equipment Maintenance Department will be represented by Andrey Kirilchev, of Chief Power Engineer Service - Nazymbek Beisembayev, Technological Transport Department - Irina Filatova, Automobile Base - Lyazzat Smakova, the Council of the company veterans - Yelizaveta Mainenger and Urasbay Makhambetov.

The solid "yes" was expressed by the conference delegates in favor of Batyr Komir local trade union joining Kazakhstan branch trade union of power engineers. By the words of Batyr Komir Chairman Kairula Turatayev, the choice of this namely branch trade union was not accidental:

- We explain our preference by the fact that actually in Kazakhstan for over 20 years there is no Ministry of Coal Industry. The coal industry department is in the composition of Ministry of Energy. Jointly with the trade union of power engineers we will be able to resolve many social issues of the partnership employees. At the same time we will not recede from miners' traditions, which had been formed for many years and observed constantly.

At the sitting of the executive committee of Batyr Komir trade union the composition of the working commission on development of the new collective agreement draft was approved. Then we will send a proposal on the commencement of the collective agreements to the partnership administration. Parallel to this, in the labor collective of the company the work will be carried out on collection of proposals and amendments to the collective agreement. We are going to amend it in the issues of expansion of social privileges and guarantees. That is why, we hope for the activity of all the trade union members - as of today there are 6,281 people of them - in terms of making their proposals.

Chairman of Kazakhstan Branch Trade Union of Power Engineers Public Association Orazbek Bekbas told about the perspectives of cooperation of Batyr Komir local trade union with Kazenergoprofsoyuz:

- In the composition of Kazakhstan branch trade union of power engineers there are 99 enterprises, with the number of employees over 42 thousand people. Among them there are Ekibastuz power plants ## 1 and 2, all the enterprises of the power complex of Almaty, the east and west of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aktyubinskaya, Kyzylordinskaya, Zhambylskaya heat power plants, and also the local trade union of Samruk-Energy managing company and all its daughter enterprises. Your company is the largest one.

We have already had to closely contact Bogatyr Coal LLP working with Samruk-Energy on the issues of labor dynasties and on the conduct of the Olympics, in which your sportsmen participated actively. This year 115 million tenge were included in the development plan of Samruk-Energy with our participation for rendering sponsorship assistance for the conduct of cultural massive and sports and health events in your company. Currently we work on allocation of funds for the organization of free treatment and rest of your miners in Kokshebel preventorium through the development plan of the managing company.

Jointly with your management, we will go into the issues on improvement in the area of salary, social privileges, organization of labor conditions by making amendments to the collective agreement and observe the fulfillment of obligations by the employer. Thus, our work will be entirely aimed at the protection of interests of each employee of your company.
