In Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department (BPTU) break-in tests of OPE-1 #273 after the intensive current repair.

In 2003 this railroad machinery passed the partial modernization. The resolution on placing this piece of equipment on an intensive current repair #3 was made in connection with the long term of its exploitation, which made over 36 years. The works were fulfilled at the enterprise called Remputmash-Service with the participation of the locomotive crew from BPTU headed by Nikolay Mosin. During the repair, which lasted from September 2018 through to March this year, electric wiring and cable products were replaced, major overhaul of undercarriage, underframe, and roof equipment was made, complete painting of a body was carried out.
