Draft Branch Agreement Discussed

The management of Batyr Komir Local Trade Union visited Almaty to take part in the plenary session of the Central Committee of the executive committee of Kazakhstan Branch Union of Power Engineers, at which the draft branch agreement between Ministry of Energy, Kazenergoprofsoyuz and employers for 2019-2021 was discussed.

The representatives of 101 trade union organizations being members of Kazakhstan Branch Union of Power Engineers got together in the southern capital with their proposals and amendments, which should improve the new branch agreement in the area of social guarantees. It should come into force next year. Particularly, it is suggested increasing a minimal duration of vacation up to 30 calendar days and a size of a minimal salary of the 1-st grade up to a 1.5-time size of the level of a minimal monthly salary set up in the Republic, and also introducing lump sum payments to state holidays and monthly additional payments while retirement. Batyr Komir Local Trade Union brought the proposal to add such items into the branch agreement, which are directly related to the coal branch. By their opinion, in the new document there should be a minimal standard of labor payment for employees involved on heavy works, works with harmful (especially harmful) and dangerous labor conditions and inflation branch coefficients to employees of the coal industry depending on labor conditions.

After the plenary session the work on collection of proposals and amendments to the branch agreement will be carried out on-site. The consideration of amendments and proposals will be held in several stages. For this the commission will be created consisting of representatives of enterprises on behalf of employers, employees, representatives of ministries and management of the branch trade union After the final discussion of the document and making a final decision on it the signing procedure will take place. It is scheduled for the end of this year-beginning of next year.
