The Gift to the Town and Children

The cycle race devoted to the 60-th anniversary of the town of Ekibastuz and the International Day of Children Protection was organized and conducted in Ekibastuz.

The event was held under the auspices and with the support of Ekibastuz town branch of Nur-Otan party. It was the initiative of Deputy Pavlodar Regional Maslikhat, Executive Director of Bogatyr Coal LLP Kairat Rgaibek. It was him who defrayed the current expenses. The weighty sponsorship assistance was rendered by General Director of Bogatyr Coal LLP Serik Raipov. It should be noted the held cycle race was charitable - all the funds collected within it, including from the auction and drawing, were directed to needy children by the organizers. The honorable guests of the sport holiday were Ekibastuz town Akim Kairat Nukenov, First Deputy Chairman of Ekibastuz Town Branch of Nur-Otan party Svetlana Gladysheva. In his welcome speech Kairat Nukenov reminded the cycle race participants what significance our state attached to the development of mass sport. Maslikhat Deputy wished good luck and victory in the honest sport struggle to all the race participants. He also participated in the cycle race, but hors concours.

The total number of the race participants was 34. It was carried out along Kunayev avenue. According to the regulations of the competitions all the participants were divided into two age categories. Men and women started separately. The distance was also different for men and women - 10 and 5 kilometers, accordingly. The cycle race was opened by men. In the category under 35 years old the first place was taken by the employee of Vostochny coal mine Arman Konakbayev, the second place was taken by the representative of Zhasybay Children and Youth Sport School Ivan Gulyakin, and the third place was taken by the employee of Prommashkomplekt LLP Andrey Fomich. As for the category above 35 years old, the victory was celebrated by the oldest cyclist - the 80-year-old labor veteran Pyotr Dyachuk. The silver champion was Vitaly Chaban from Bogatyr Coal LLP, the third place was taken by the representative of Children and Youth Sport School #2 Abay Kubesov. Then the women started the race. In the category under 35 years old the first to finish was Zarina Shakhmanova (Children and Youth Sport School #3), the second was Olga Shereshova from Bogatyr Coal LLP, the third place was taken by Aisulu Mendybayeva from Zhasybay Children and Youth Sport School. In the age category above 35 years old the victory podium was occupied by the representatives of Bogatyr Coal LLP. The best result was shown by Yelena Napadovskaya, the second one was Svetlana Zadorina, and the third one was Yelena Tsymbal. All the cycle race winners received the money awards in the volume of 25 thousand tenge, cups and diplomas. For the second place the cyclists received 15 thousand tenge each, and the bronze awardees received diplomas and 10 thousand tenge each. In addition to it, the organizers granted 10 thousand tenge bonuses to those race participants, who had demonstrated the real sport character. Among men in the nomination For Will to Win Pyotr Dyachuk and Abay Kubesov were awarded, and also Daniyar Temirbayev as the youngest cycle race participant. Among women the special bonuses went to Yelena Fyodorova and Anna Sklyarova. At the end of the event the charitable auction was held. There were 10 lottery tickets there. All the money from the auction went to needy children.

By the results of the drawing the owners of two new bicycles were Sholpan Kuandykova from Bogatyr Coal LLP and Zhenisbek Sayabek from Alua theatre studio.
