In the hearts and memory of people

On the eve of the great holiday – Victory Day – on the basis of the sports and health center of Bogatyr Coal LLP the second open tournament in mini-football took place. The competition was devoted to the memory of one of the initiators of the complex creation – talented organizer of the sport movement Aleksandr Nikolaevich Bogurayev.

The regional tournament in memoriam of Bogurayev, which is accumulating popularity, gathered seven football teams this year. Along with the local team of the veterans and legends of Ekibastuz football the guests from Pavlodar and Maikain took part in it. The event was opened with the ceremony of the solemn opening. The participants and guests were greeted by Chairman of the Trade Union of Bogatyr Coal LLP Kairulla Turatayev, on behalf of the family – the wife of Aleksandr Nikolayevich – Lyubov Gavrilovna Bogurayeva. The town veteran Samat Ramazanov remembered his friend warmly:

- I was happy to work with Aleksandr Nikolayevich for many years. Being just a training specialist in sport he could inflame people’s hearts with words and deeds, make them look at the world of sport in a new way. Aleksandr Nikolayevich was from the cohort of people able to unite others around the noble idea of sport. One can say a lot of good words about what this man did for the development of mass sport in our town. But I suppose the main deed of his life was this sports and health center, the initiator of which he was. That is why I think it would be fair to assign his name to the complex in memoriam of this magnificent person.

The honorable miner Manat Syzdykov, veteran of Ekibastuz football spoke in support of the proposal.

The opening match of the tournament was the match between the owners – team of Bogatyr Coal LLP and the picked team of veterans of Ekibastuz football called Legenda. One should say the match was very theoric and emotional. 20 minutes of the regulated time allocated for the game flew as one moment and included a lot of interesting moments. The result was 3 to 0 in favor of the team of Bogatyr Coal LLP. The second match was between the team Metallurg from Maikain and Zhastar from Ekibastuz. The team of the metallurgists won.  

But still … The team, which won in the whole tournament, was the Football Club Murat from Pavlodar. In addition to the main prize they were awarded with the cups from the administration of the tournament and the trade union committee of Bogatyr Coal LLP, and also from the Bogurayev family. The other teams were also awarded with diplomas and monetary bonuses.
