Happy New Year!

When it begins to grow dark, the main office building of Bogatyr Coal, LLP dips into the atmosphere of pre-New Year spirits. The multicolored garlands sparkle, the wonder-trees arise, and from the faces of the buildings there fall neon falls… The whole magic picture is watched by the characters of the Kazakh folk fairy tales, who have been transformed into icy figures by skilful masters.

This pre-New Year beauty was created by the employees of the maintenance and construction department of the company for several days. The construction was supervised by Valentina Salozhina, Head of Construction Section. The main characters chosen were famous persons of the Kazakh folk fairy tales. They are the wanderer Aldar Kose, Samruk wonderful bird, Kunkey beauty, Korkut - the folk epos character, and the fabulous tree Baiterek. The figures were formed by the employees of the construction section. None of them have any special education of a sculptor or artist. Only one of them – Sergey Fedutik – can be called as a self-taught artist. His hobby is wood carving. Lately Sergey decided to expand his experience to forming icy figures. The result was very good.

On these per-New Year days the company summarized the results of the contest for the best icy figure. The fabulous character Aldar Kose made by Konstantin Wagner was without a rival. The judges of the contest evaluated the work of Sergey Fedutik also highly. His work was the sublime figure of Korkut. The third prize was taken by Kelembek Sergazin, the master of the fabulous bird Samruk.

The winners got the monetary bonuses.

In the interim the employees of the maintenance and construction section are finishing the construction of the ice-run in Shakhtyor town park. The ice-run will be decorated by an icy figure of a Dragon – the symbol of 2012.
