The Town is Glorious by its Dynasties

The coal Ekibastuz has always been glorious by its strong labor dynasties. These good traditions are honored nowadays. Among those, who continue the undertaking of fathers and grandfathers, are the Kopnov brothers. The founder of their dynasty is Nikolay Semyonovich Kopnov. In the far 1963 he with his whole family moved to the town of the future All-Union construction project from the town of Atbasar. He was employed as a diesel locomotive operator and  he adhered to the chosen way forever. Production sections and their names changed several times, the coal mining enterprise itself was reorganized several times, the task only remained unchanged – to give coal to the country. Now it is even difficult to imagine how many coal trains operated by Operator Kopnov were delivered to customers for these years. The labor biography of Nikolay Semyonovich Kopnov started in Severny Loading and Transportation Department, later it found its glorious continuation at Bogatyr coal mine. His three sons followed the father's example. All of them chose the work this or other way related to coal mining and transportation.

His eldest son Aleksandr is now working at Vostochny coal mine, the middle son Viktor and the youngest son Boris are currently working at Bogatyr coal mine, in Bogatyr Coal LLP. Viktor has been working at Bogatyr coal mine as an excavator operator, Boris has devoted about forty years of his life to the work of a traction unit operator, first at Severny Loading and Transportation Department and then at Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department. The only daughter of Nikolay Semyonovich - Lyudmila - also works for the coal mining enterprise. The continuator of the glorious traditions of the Kopnovs in the third generation is the son of Lyudmila Nikolayevna - Mikhail Litvinenko. By the example of his grandfather and uncle - railroad men, he is working as a traction unit operator assistant in Ekspluatatsia Rolling Stock Depot at Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department.

Each of the Kopnovs has forty and over forty years of work in the coal industry. If to sum it up, the total work experience of the Kopnovs' dynasty will be around two hundred years. This is the real arithmetic of the labor merit of an individually taken miner's family of Ekibastuz.
