Professional Mastership Competitions

09.09.2016

The Initiative of the Olympians Launched

On the very eve of the main miners' holiday - Miner's Day - the excavator operators joined the struggle for the Best in Profession Rank in Bogatyr Coal LLP. They became the last ones in the cycle of professional mastership competitions, which had been held in the partnership. But as people say: "The last but not the least". It is possible to say that Bogatyr miners managed to fully launch the initiative of the Kazakhstani sportsmen, who had successfully performed in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The final series of the professional mastership competitions was opened by dragline operators. The Secretary of the Competition Commission, Chief Technologist of Bogatyr mine Sergey Mikhailyuk and Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Bogatyr Coal LLP Yelizaveta Mainenger greeted the participants. Having congratulated the miners on the forthcoming holiday the competition organizers awarded each participant with incentive prizes for the successful start and positive mood. After that the competition itself started.

The labor contest participants had to go through two competition tours. In the first theoretical part the miners had to answer test questions correctly. Their topic was determined by the nature of the coal operations, the special attention in the tests was paid to job safety standards, industrial and fire safety rules when performing works. Along with it there were the questions on technology of work conduct. The main criteria taken into account by the tender commission were both correctness and time spent.

The second practical stage was built taking into account excavator models. For example, dragline operators had to demonstrate their accuracy while driving a dragline. The next assignment for them was to lift and carry a plastic bucket with water several meters away not spilling any water. A similar task was given to shovel excavator operators on the subsequent days of the competition. But instead of a bucket with water there was a box of matches. Most of the competitors managed to fulfill a set task, but to a different extent of success.

In the nomination of Dragline Operators the prize winners were:

The 1-st place – Mamayev Shirafidin Islamovich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #3)

The 2-nd place – Kavun Sergey Mikhailovich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #3)

The 3-rd place – Korobov Vladimir Vladimirovich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #2)

In the nomination of Shovel Excavators (8I; 12US; 15M; 10US models) the triplet of prize winners was as follows:

The 1-st place - Lyubetskiy Aleksandr Grigorievich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #3)

The 2-nd place – Korniets Andrey Vladimirovich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #1)

The 3-rd place – Baryshev Gennady Yevgenievich (Overburden and Dump Works Section #3)

The bucket-wheel excavator operators had to demonstrate their maximum level of professional competence. Their tasks were also complicated. For begin with, each competition crew consisting of a wheel operator, loading operator, operator-electrician - had to take an exam for knowledge of safety rules. Then the time came for every individual participant to demonstrably prove acquired skills and abilities in practice. In short, the contestable intrigue was in the competition of bucket-wheel excavator crews. For example, the quality of work and time spent depended much of the crew integration in the process of control car loading.

Besides, wheel operators should have demonstrated the faultless adherence to the technology of mining a low stage of the mine and making a track. In their turn operators-electricians had to reveal and remedy a malfunction in the electric scheme of an excavator in the practical part of the competition. One of the determinant factors there was time spent. By the results of two tours the triplets of the winners were determined in each nomination of bucket-wheel operators.

Operators-electricians:

The 1-st place – Krylov Denis Olegovich (Mining Works Section-1)

The 2-nd place – Bobylev Andrey Vladimirovich (Mining Works Section-1)

The 3-rd place – Shafarostov Gennady Ivanovich (Mining Works Section-1)

Loading Operators:

The 1-st place – Tsytsarkin Valery Valentinovich (Mining Works Section-2)

The 2-nd place – Zommer Artyom Vladimirovich (Mining Works Section-1)

The 3-rd place – Afanasiyev Yevgeniy Aleksandrovich (Mining Works Section-1)

Wheel operators:

The 1-st place – Kozhamberdinov Nabi Abdulnasyrovich (Mining Works Section-1)

The 2-nd place – Knyazev Konstantin Yevgenievich (Mining Works Section-2)

The 3-rd place – Kazarkin Sergey Petrovich (Mining Works Section-2).

The awarding ceremony for all the winners and prize holders of the Best in Profession competition among excavator operators will be held in the solemn atmosphere on the eve of Miner's Day.
