Driving Aces

The series of Best in Profession competitions annually held in Bogatyr Coal LLP on the eve of the professional holiday Miner's Day continued last week. This time it was the competition among large truck operators in the Technological Transport Department of Bogatyr Coal LLP.

The struggle for the best in profession rank took place among BelAZ-75131 and CAT-777D large truck operators, and also BelAZ-76470 (UPM) truck operators.

The competition was opened with the greeting speech of the organizers-representatives of the administration and the trade union committee of Bogatyr Coal LLP. After getting acquainted with the rules and conditions of the competition the participants (there were 15 of them) started fulfilling the theoretical assignment. It was in the form of a test consisting of 15 questions regarding job safety rules, transport technical operations rules. Basing on the results of the first tour Deputy Chairman of Competition Commission, Chief Engineer of Technological Transport Department Maksim Solokha stated that all the participants demonstrated good knowledge. Nevertheless, in any competitions best of the best should be determined. This competition was not an exception. In each nomination triplets of finalists were formed, who had to go through the practical part of the contest.

In the nomination of BelAZ-75131 truck operators the finalists were A.Kapezov, V.Kobylchenko, and R.Tukayev. In the nomination of CAT-777D truck operators B.Alzhanov, K.Temirzhanov, and V.Maltsev had almost optimal number of points in the theoretical part. In the nomination of BelAZ-76470 (UPM) truck operators the qualifying part was successfully passed by S.Abilov, S.Tursunbayev, and D.Meirbekuly.

The order of participation of competition participants in the practical tour was determined through the conducted drawing procedure. As an assignment, all the truck operators were suggested going through the technological traffic plan simulating an operating one. By the flag signal each competitor should have started moving but before that everyone should have removed recoil brakes and given a sound signal on movement commencement as the instruction stated. One would think they were conventional and brought to mechanical actions but the competition atmosphere made the participants be agitated. In that situation every nuance was meaningful – to turn on lights in time, to give turn signals. The closest attention came from the competent jury.

The contest participants were driving large trucks very virtuously like figure-skaters in the skating rink. The competition was very picturesque and interesting.

By the results of two tours in the nomination of BelAZ-75131 truck operators Raif Tukayev took the 1-st place, Vitaliy Kobylchenko - the 2-nd one, and Aidar Kapezov took the 3-rd place. In the nomination of CAT-777D truck operators the first place was taken by Kairat Temirzhanov, the 2-nd place - by Viktor Maltsev, and the 3-rd one - by Bolat Alzhanov. In the nomination of BelAZ-76470 universal watering truck operators the 1-st place went to Dias Meirbekuly, the 2-nd place - to Serik Tursunbayev, and the 3-rd one - to Suyunshkali Abilov. All the winners and prize holders of the Best in Profession competition received cups, For Faithfulness to Profession medals, letters of award, gifts and money prizes.

The rest participants were also given some incentive money prizes.
