With a victorious mood

27.08.2015

The calendar summer got over its equator. It means very soon there will be the main holiday of all miners - Miner's Day. In the largest Kazakhstani-Russian coal mining company - Bogatyr Coal LLP - following the old tradition, it is accepted to meet this event in a special way: with a victorious mood and personal labor achievements in professional mastership competitions.

The honorable right to open the annual cycle of competitions The Best in Profession was granted to OPE-1 traction unit and shunting locomotive operators this year. It is quite understandable. On the first Sunday of August the representatives of the transport branch celebrate one more professional holiday - Railroad Man's Day.

It is both the honor and excitement to start the labor competition. It is so both for newcomers and experienced veterans. On that day the heat increased the grade of the competition and the internal psychological tension of the participants.

All of them were divided into three categories: traction unit operators-veterans, traction unit operators-youth under 29 years old, and also shunting locomotive operators.

As it should be, the program of the professional mastership competition consisted of two parts: theory and practice. During the first, theoretical, stage the participants were suggested answering 50 test questions. They related the various sides of a locomotive operator's activity - knowledge of job descriptions, job safety and labor protection rules, and of course the issues of technical exploitation of locomotives. The competition participants were given 20 minutes for the test. Nevertheless, all of them passed the test quite successfully. It is enough to say that the maximum number of points of one of the participant was 47 of 50 points possible. The level of knowledge demonstrated by the locomotive operators was good, and it was noted by the authoritative competition commission while summarizing the results of the first stage.

However, the most complicated assignment was the second one - the practical task. According to the conditions of the second stage of the competition, each participant should have demonstrated perfect skills of riding a traction unit or diesel locomotive. Namely speaking, it was required being in the operator's cab, strictly after the signal to start moving from a control mark of a railroad track and stop the machine at the maximum close distance from a specially set up plate.

The best result was shown by Yerbolat Mukhametzhanov. The second one was Taras Khabarov. The young operators followed their experienced colleagues and also showed good results - Aleksandr Golovlin and Mikhail Litvinenko. Denis Sokolov was the best amongst the diesel locomotive operators.

The total results of the competition among traction unit operators-veterans were as follows - the 1-st place was taken by Yerbolat Mukhametzhanov, the 2-nd place was taken by Taras Khabarov, the 3-rd place was taken by Aleksandr Prokopenko.

The total results of the competition among traction unit operators-youth under 29 years old were as follows: Aleksandr Golovlin (the 1-st place), Mikhail Litvinenko (the 2-nd place), Ivan Zabroda (the 3-rd place).

The three best shunting locomotive operators were Denis Sokolov (the 1-st place), Ruslan Syzdykov (the 2-nd place), Aleksandr Gorzhankin (the 3-rd place).

All the prize winners were awarded with deserved awards and winners' cups, the rest participants received the incentive gifts.
