In the football field of Beryozka Recreation Home there took place the annual tournament in football amongst veterans for the cup of Aleksandr Shmeyer, the organizers of which were the administration of Bogatyr Coal LLP and Batyr Komir Local Trade Union Committee.

Aleksandr Shmeyer's former colleagues and friends got together to honor legacy of the talented trade union leader, who had participated in all possible football battles many times being an ardent fan of this fascinating and theoric kind of sport.

By the results of the meeting the Cup went to Lokomotiv team headed by its captain Aleksandr Petrov. Gornyaki team took the second place.

Tulegen Mukhanov was acknowledged to be the best forward of the tournament, Dmitry Minakov - as the best back, and Ilya Bazilov - as the best goalkeeper. The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with gifts of money and certificates of honor.
