Women's day

12.03.2018

"The student, sportswoman, and eventually just a beauty!" - the winged phrase from Leonid Gaiday's Soviet comedy The Caucasian Captive, or New Adventures of Shurik characterizes our heroine Kymbat Kurmagaliyeva very accurately. Of course, she is not a student any longer, although probably one day she will think good to have a third higher education, and she preferred dances to sport but being 25 years old she has already achieved a lot. She has also become a co-author of scientific findings, which, probably, will make its decent use in coal mining enterprises.

- Being a schoolgirl I was always active, - Kymbat remembers, - I always participated in some contests, took high places, learnt something, developed myself. In many ways, it is the service of my parents. They always helped me in my undertakings. From school subjects I liked exact sciences: physics, mathematics – I went to the physico-mathematical class. Maybe, because of this when I found out what a surveyor is I wanted to obtain this profession very much.

The graduate of the 18-th Ekibastuz school entered Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute for Mining specialty (the profile - Surveying). Having graduated the bachelor course with honors Kymbat was employed in the Project Development Organization Department of Production Development Service of Bogatyr Coal LLP's Technical Direction as an engineer in 2014. At that time there were no vacancies for the position of a surveyor.

- Before my employment in the coal enterprise two times I had the production practice in the surveying service of Technical Direction. I remember my tutor - Senior Surveyor Nadezhda Yevgeniyevna Dyuko with a lot of thankfulness. She is the only person who trusted me, young inexperienced trainee, costly appliances. I remember how she explained everything connected with her work to me very clearly although using technical language. During the second practice I was lucky to work with Tatyana Fyodorovna Ikonnikova and Yevgeniy Mikhailovich Dyakhterenko. After the employment the great assistance in gaining experience was rendered to me by Deputy Technical Director Galymbek Yelubayevich Irgebayev and Department Head Andrey Aleksandrovich Yastremskiy.

In a year of work in the company the young specialist Kymbat Kurmangaliyeva became a student again. This time - a student of distance education. At the end of autumn last year she received the Red Diploma of a Master of one of the largest higher educational institutions of the Western Siberia of Kuzbass State Technical University named after T.F.Gorbachyov (KuzSTU) by the specialty Technospheric Safety.

The scientific activity of the young girl did not stop there. Being a co-author of the scientists from Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical University she started developing innovation projects. It is something familiar for Kymbat. The department she works in is specialized in forming a plan of mining works to be implemented at the enterprise. It is done in cooperation with design organizations. Together with her colleagues Kymbat includes them in the annual procurement plan, prepares a technical assignment.

In November last year her project called The Method of Dust Collecting with the Help of a Laser Assembly, the curators of which were candidates of technical science, professors of Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical University Meiram Zhumabekovich Tursunov and Nurbek Zhumabekovich Tursunov, took the 1-st place in the regional contest called Young Scientist organized by the center of development of youth initiatives.

- Currently this cardinally new way of duct collecting, which has no analogues in the world so far, is under consideration in Moscow, - my companion says. - We have given the request for a patent and are waiting for the results. Besides, one more project from us is waiting for a patent in the Russian capital. This appliance for electric current generation with the help of piezomaterials and solar batteries under the condition of constant impact of wind and solar energy on them. The big financial support for getting patents for inventions was allocated by Kuzbass STU, which lays big hopes on me.

As soon as patents and a feasibility study are received, they can be tested in the operations. By the words of the young girl, Bogatyr Coal LLP management controls these findings.

Seeing with what enthusiasm Kymbat tells about her scientific achievements one can think she is a dedicated materialist. But it is absolutely not the case. Within herself she is a big dreamer and creative individual. The young girl was going in for vocal, studied in the school of dance art named after Altynay Assylmuratova (currently it is Nur Shashu choreographic group), learnt a step dance from Nikolay Vasiliyevich Razumov, visited the hobby group of carpet weaving.

- Still I sing, dance and weave carpets. I like dance-hall, twirk. Last year I took the first place in the contest called Light your Star held in our company last year. My dance was called Casket. I like weaving carpets very much despite the fact it is a very labor-intensive occupation. It took 4 months to weave my biggest carpet.

Currently Kymbat has been weaving a carpet with a logo of Bogatyr Coal LLP. Possibly, she will present it as a gift to the museum of the enterprise she is working for, and maybe she will hang it in her own office, which she will have one day. Because youth, initiative, erudition and energy will not give a chance to stop on something achieved helping to get promotion by a career ladder.

One more achievement of our heroine became a proof of it. During the preparation of the interview Engineer Kymbat Kurmangaliyeva was promoted to the position of Chief Technologist of the department.

Yelena Vedomtseva will remember her 35-th birthday as not just a jubilee. By that date, 14 years ago, the fate prepared for her, as she says, a really cherished gift. She became a part of the several thousand strong collective of the coal mining company - Bogatyr Coal LLP - and saw the world largest coal mine for the first time.

- It came into my mind that it is my fate that my first work day coincided with my birthday. It is a good token, and everything will be good, I will manage to do all I want. I was impressed by the scale of the operations. As if the mine lived in its internal world, as a separate town with its infrastructure and mode. The enterprise left a good impression on me. I felt the stability.

14 years passed from the time Yelena Yakovlevna was employed in the company. For this time she was promoted from a fuel and lubricants warehouse person at Kovylnaya station up to a lead engineer of Technological Transport Department.

The dirty mazut work of a warehouse person, warehouse head, and a manager of fuel and lubricants department of the Commercial Direction became a good help in the current position. Vasiliy Vasiliyevich Ivanchik, the now labor veteran and the then Head of Bogatyr branch of the central storage base always helped her grasp the twists and turns of a male profession. Our heroine learnt better than men how to have an eye for spare parts of all the technological transport. By a spare part number Yelena Yakovlevna could determine exactly whether it was from a BelAZ truck, Komatsu truck, bulldozer, or tractor. Having become a lead procurement engineer of Technological Transport Department eventually Yelena Yakovlevna felt herself in her path. She received her main profession - planning engineer - in her native town - Tselinograd, where she had graduated from a construction technical school with honors. Then she worked for 10 years as an accountant in the native collective farm called Dvurechnyy in Essil region.

- I have been on friendly terms with numbers since my childhood, - our companion laughs, - My elder sister, also an accountant by education, brought beads home often. I liked to play with them very much. It was my favorite toy.

After the death of her mother Yelena Yakovlevna came to Ekibastuz to her other native sister - Skobeyeva Tatyana Yakovlevna, who, by the way, also tied her life with Bogatyr Coal LLP having a work experience of over 35 years. The one before last year Chief Technologist of Maintenance Direction of Bogatyr Coal LLP retired.

The family of Yelena Vedomtseva is a representative of the labor dynasty of the coal enterprise. Her husband, Igor Vasiliyevich Vedomtsev, works as a repairman on emergency and restoration works in Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department, her daughter Marina Danibayeva - as a dispatcher in the automobile base at Yuzhnaya station, her nephew Vitaliy Vedutov works at Mining and Transportation Equipment Maintenance Plant, his wife - Olga Giller - works at the same plant, in its excavator shop as a progressman.

By our heroine, it is also a good token. Because as there are common talks about life and work then such a family is real, strong and happy.

The famous Ekibastuz Paralympic sportswoman, the holder of several tens of medals and titles Sara Prokofiyeva on the eve of the International Women's Day returned from the ski race championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan amongst disabled people taken place in Almaty. This time she brought one more victory. Now she is an eightfold champion of the republic in this kind of sport.

Thanks to the golden medal gained on the distance of 800 meters the sportswoman confirmed the title of a master of sports in ski racing. The title was granted to Sara last year. In addition to the first place, the skier won a silver medal on the distance of 600 meters.

The difficult acclimatization in the conditions of Alatau high mountains and driving rain pouring the competition participants during the race did not prevent a 55-year-old Sara Prokofiyeva, a sight-impaired person of the 3-rd group, be in advance of 18-20-year-old competitors. Amongst sportswomen from Almaty, Karagandy, Kostanay, Akmola region, Eastern-Kazakhstan region and Pavlodar region she showed excellent results and proved that age and limited capabilities were not an obstacle on one's way to success.

In the sportswoman's native town her sport family were her fans - husband Sergey, daughter Galina, two sons - Rinat and Vsevolod. Sara Sharipovna expressed the special gratitude for the support to her colleagues – Bogatyr Coal LLP management and employees, where she works as an operator of the heat point thanks to the state program on employment of disabled persons.

- I would like to thank very much Bogatyr coal mine Director Ibragim Yerdavletovich Dosmukhambetov, his assistant Alla Tursunovna Tsaryova, Director of Bogatyr sport complex Valentina Viktorovna Titarenko and my direct chief Yevgeniya Anatoliyevna Zharkova. Thanks to these people I have an opportunity to take part in various sports competitions and achieve high results.

The sportswoman, who is also a member of Nur Otan party, has serious plans for preparation to light athletics competitions within the frames of Paralympics in 2019. Let us wish a lot of success to her!

She has not become either a cook or a sewer. But she mastered the other profession brightly, which differs from her child's fantasies. For almost 30 years Galina Terentenko controls movement of railroad transport at Bogatyr Coal LLP. For 11 years of them she has been working as a train dispatcher at Bogatyrskaya station of Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department.

The noise and din, constant movement in the background of the loud-speaking communication plus three radio stations – it is the usual work environment of a railroad dispatcher in the coal company. In addition to it, a dispatcher has to place 7-8 locomotives on weighing and dozing and track machines, which have to be placed on twenty passing sidings in such a way they do not interfere with movement of each other.

- Our work is noisy and very tense, which requires huge attention, good memory and excellent reaction at a control panel. It is necessary to timely prepare a route and open a traffic-light for a train. To be a head of train movement is not easy at all.

Galina Alekseyevna got familiarized with everyday work of a railroad specialist in 1987. At that time, being a third year student of Ekibastuz Mining Technical Secondary School and being on a semiannual practice at the enterprise, she tried herself as a centralization post operator at Yuzhnaya station. This was her first workplace, where she had a trial by fire.

- My aunt - Galina Maksimovna Zaborsina - also worked as a train dispatcher. She helped me master my specialty in every way. I remember there was a fire at the station. The equipment was damaged. We had to spend whole shifts on our feet in the field and reverse points manually while preparing routes for every train.

After the graduation from the technical secondary school Galina Terentenko was placed as a graduate to Angren coal mine located in Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. The heavy labor conditions, such as absence of the automated control system for railroad movement and big gas pollution forced the young girl to come back to Ekibastuz and get reemployed to the familiar coal enterprise.

- I started to work as an operator at Zapadnaya station of the former Severny Loading and Transportation Department, then I was transferred to the position of a person on duty at Granichnaya station. At Zapadnaya station the big support in work was rendered to me by the dispatcher Nadezhda Sigidina. My uncle - Nikolay Mikhailovich Zaborsin - helped me get the feel of a new place. He was the head of Signaling, Centralization and Blocking Section.

In 1993, after the maternity leave Galina was transferred to Bogatyrskaya station of Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department as an operator of the 2-nd grade. She worked at a computer. Galina passed the traineeship for upgrading, began to work as a dispatcher. She mastered the profession of a train dispatcher on-the-job.

I like my work. Probably, I would not be better in any other profession, except for a railroad specialist. Because almost my whole family connected their lives with the steel main line.

My mother Samborskaya Tamila Maksimovna worked as a person on duty of the distribution post at Severny mine, father Samborskiy Aleksey Ivanovich - as an electrician at Yuzhnaya station. Currently my son-in-law Oleg Yuriyevich Bobrov and nephew Nikita Olegovich Bobrov work as shunting masters. My cousin, Nikolay Pavlovich Artyomenko, works as an electric locomotive operator. My son Vyacheslav also plans to work on the railroad after he learns to be an electrician on rolling stock.

Deputy Technical Director for Environmental Protection of Bogatyr Coal LLP Nataliya Shulayeva tells about her professional path and achievements at the enterprise tremblingly. Following the conviction that every person should love everything, what is around him/her and what he/she does, she devotes herself to work in full. At the same time she pays the special attention to self-education and constant movement forward. To always be on top and aware of everything – these are her main life principles. And this does not remain unnoticeable. The heroine of our story is the holder of Miner's Glory award of the third grade, she has letters of thankfulness, diplomas of merit for her fair labor and contribution in the enterprise development.

The adult life for Nataliya Anatoliyevna started like for the most of Ekibastuz school graduates of 1970-ies from entering the mining technical secondary school. She chose the specialty called Exploitation of Rolling Transport.

The young specialist Natasha Shulayeva had her pre-diploma practice in Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department.

- At that time Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department was headed by Mikhail Petrovich Bogomyakov. He determined the future place of work for young trainees. I was placed to Bogatyrskaya station. I worked there as an operator of ETs post. Then she was transferred to Soedinitelnaya station to work as a transportation dispatcher. From 1995 she continued her labor activity as a foreman of production training in the Training Center of the enterprise.

As Nataliya Anatoliyevna said, she wanted to try a method "ex contrario" having moved from practice to theory. This worked. As she was lucky to work with Deputy Principal for Production Training Khodareva Armina Aleksandrovna and adopt her rich experience.

2001 became critical for our heroine - from that moment a radical uplift started in her life, which continues until the present time. Nataliya Shulayeva was invited to work as a lead engineer in Safety Department of Maikubenskiy coal mine, where later she took the position of Head of Engineering Group.

- I felt fear at the beginning. I had to digest huge volumes of new information, including legislative, regulatory. I believed myself thanks to the people working together with me.

At the same time our companion understood the education she received in the youth was not enough. That is why, being almost 40 years old, she entered Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute and received the specialty of a mining engineer.

Both on her new work and during the time of her study in the institute Nataliya Aleksandrovna always met her former colleagues. Afterwards some of them played an important role in her life. One of them was Technical Director of Bogatyr Coal LLP Sergey Vladimirovich Zarapin, who suggested his current deputy coming back to the company and become a head of environment protection service.

- I came back with the huge baggage of knowledge, with other life views. I looked at my native coal enterprises in a new way. For the last 7 years a lot has been done in the realm of improvement of the ecological situation. The process of beautification of the territory of our subdivisions resumed with new power. Currently over 37 thousand of flowers are planted annually at the industrial sites by the company employees, the green belt is planted and plants are taken care of.

The big work is being carried out about disposal of production wastes. At the enterprise they started to collect second-hand materials, waste paper. The next step will be the transfer of used plastic and automobile filters in metal cases into second-hand materials. We hope to increase the volume of wastes converted to second-hand materials in 2018 up to 20-30%. This will allow to partially offsetting reclamation costs.

These are the plans our companion lives in currently. By her words, in her head there are a lot of various ideas and thoughts. To have time to put them in life one needs more drive and fewer stoppages.
