"Medicine is not an excavator!"

- this is what the participants of the contest for delivery of pre-doctor care state. The contest took place on April 17, 2018 in the Training Center of Bogatyr Coal LLP. But despite that even a miner has to comprehend some twists and turns of it because at the operations anything can happen, and often minutes decide a fate of a person.

At the first stage eight teams-participants consisting of two people each took the theoretical part of the contest. 20 minutes were allocated for fulfillment of tests. Then the most interesting and exciting started - employees of various structural subdivisions of the company working in pairs demonstrated their practical skills of pre-doctor care delivery to injured at the operations.

The trainee-third-year student of Ekibastuz college of Engineering and Technical Institute, the future surveyor Sergey Nikulin – alias "the injured person" for the time of the contest "underwent" 8 different fractures and 8 hemorrhages of upper limbs. Having performed as an injured person sturdily he was sure to remember how to deliver pre-doctor care to a person with such injuries correctly.

The contest commission consisting of the representatives of the company Training Center, the employees of Labor Safety and Protection Service of the company, the representatives from Batyr Komir local trade union and Kazanada LLP were observing the correctness and sequence of actions of the teams, their teamwork and speed of tasks fulfillment. After every dramatization of aid delivery the panel of judges approved participants' actions or pointed at their mistakes explaining what they could lead to.

As a whole, by the words of the medical assistant of Kazanada LLP Aleksandra Kapafanasidi, all the teams had a clear idea on how to soothe the condition of an injured person and reduce a risk of complications of an injury while waiting for Emergency Call Service team. Despite the excitement and mistakes, they will be able to help a person save his/her life. Annual visits of the company employees to the Training Center for the training courses with the participations of paramedics give positive results.

The team of Chief Power Engineer Service was acknowledged to be the most qualified one. It consisted of Yevgeniy Belyayev and Denis Zaykin. The second place in the contest was taken by the team of the company Training Center consisting of Gulzhanat Bilyalova and Antonina Pochinok. The third place was won by the team from Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department consisting of Olesya Melnik and Tursungali Nurgaliyev.

At the end of the month on labor safety and protection all the prize-winners and contest participants will be awarded with monetary bonuses and promotional prizes.
