Strictly but not interestedly

In Bogatyr Coal LLP the results of the first competitions devoted to the International Labor Protection Day were summarized. The commission consisting of the representatives of Civil Defense and Labor Protection Department, Training Center, Batyr Komir Trade Union, Technical Direction and Production System (BPS) of the enterprise evaluated the sections, which had submitted their requests for participation in the competition.

This year 16 contenders participated in the competition for the best section, which had arranged safe labor conditions. Bogatyr coal mine, Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department, Railroad Equipment Maintenance Direction, Technological Transport Department, Chief Power Engineer Service, Automobile Base, Coal Quality Control Department, and Direction for Sales and Coal Markets presented their sections and shops with a staff of under 50 and over 50 people to the jury.

During three days the panel of judges visited the production objects and gave evaluations to them by several parameters on a five-point scale. Neither the provision of safe labor conditions, nor visual agitation - schemes, instructions, instruction booklets demonstrating methods of safe work, nor provision of hygiene and sanitary conditions and drinking regime slipped the attention of the jury. Very thoroughly the jury members examined the availability, serviceableness and storage of personal protective equipment and instruments used in work, and also the condition of technical and operating documentation and organization of public control.

By the results of the inspection the evaluations were made, which allowed revealing leaders. The best section with a number of over fifty people was the section of overburden and dump works-2 (Bogatyr coal mine), the second place was taken by Depot of Rolling Stock-2 (Railroad Equipment Maintenance Direction), Stepnaya Depot of Rolling Stock (Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department) was the third. The best section with a number of less than fifty people was the section Put-8 (Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department), Signaling, Centralization and Blocking-1 (Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department) took the second place, Heat and Water Supply Section of the boiler shop at Yuzhnaya station (Chief Power Engineer Service) was the third one.

All the prize-winners will be awarded with bonuses at the end of April at the solemn event devoted to the International Labor Protection Day. The other participants will be presented consolation prizes.

Summarizing the results of work carried out by the commission Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Bogatyr coal mine Sergey Mikhailyuk evaluated the preparation of the sections to the competition highly:

- Everybody prepared excellently. That is why, it was not an easy job for the panel of judges to make a decision in giving marks. On all the sections there is the provision of safe labor conditions. Of course, there are defects and remarks, which were revealed in the course of the competition. The representatives of the sections accompanying the commission members registered them. The work on their elimination will be carried out within a week - until the following Thursday inspection.
