The Meeting with Veterans-Miners

Last week in Bogatyr Coal LLP there was a meeting of General Director of the company Murat Abdygulov with the veterans-coal miners, the people, whose names became the part of the glorious history of the enterprise.
Opening the meeting Murat Abdygulov greeted the dear guests warmly having noted the personal contribution of each of them in the formation and successful development of the coal enterprise:
- Dear colleagues! Let me greet you in this very way. Thank you for your time and opportunity to participate in our today meeting. I am very pleased to get acquainted with each of you personally, who had laid the foundation of the modern Bogatyr Coal LLP - the enterprise with the big history, former achievements, and good perspectives. I would like to learn you more, listen to your pieces of advice and instructions. I think the meeting will be interesting for you either as you devoted your best years to this enterprise. I am sure you have something to share with the acting management of the company. From our side we will be glad to tell you what the enterprise is about nowadays.
Having sincerely thanked General Director for the hospitable reception and the attention paid the veterans asked their questions stirring them.
The topic of development of Severny mine overburden complex was raised by Honorable Citizen of Ekibastuz, illustrious miner Dmitry Melekhov in his speech. Acting Technical Director of Bogatyr Coal LLP Galymbek Irgebayev told the veterans on the project of Severny mine overburden complex development. The proposal of the distinguished veteran - to get together in private for the more detailed working out of this project - was accepted by the company management with understanding. At the same time Murat Abdygulov explained to the veteran that the project under consideration was developed in the close cooperation with a long-standing and reliable partner of the company - OJSC Karagandagiproshakht and K.
Going on to discuss the perspective plans of the enterprise Dmitry Melekhov asked the question on how the company management intended to resolve the problem of employment of released employees after the introduction of the cycle-and-flow technology project at Bogatyr coal mine.
The fears were reasoned away by General Director of the company:
- Actually during the nearest several years the enterprise is planning to finish the cycle-and-flow project but it does not absolutely mean that people released in the process of the project implementation will be left out in the cold. The enterprise has a program of retraining and skill conversion for released employees. The program is in action successfully and renewed annually. Besides, there is a natural loss factor of the company personnel staff connected with retirement of employees, moving to other places of residence and other objective reasons. That is why, there are no grounds for trouble. This issue is under the permanent control of the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP.
The honorable citizen of Ekibastuz town, distinguished miner Yerken Aubakirov asked about the production plans of the enterprise for 2018.
Answering the question of the veteran Murat Abdygulov reminded the results of the company management for the last year:
- Having the plan on the level of 33,9 mm tons the enterprise mined and shipped 40,0 mm tons of coal to its customers. The plan for this year is set up on the level of 41,3 mm tons of coal. And I hope that we will overcome this target. To achieve the indicated goal a lot is being done, significant investments are allocated.
In his own turn Deputy General Director-Director for Production Serik Makarov informed that this year the company purchased 20 dump-cars for these purposes, the purchase of 32 dump-cars more is planned, along with a locomotive of MP-1 type, bulldozer machinery, and also four BelAZ-75131 large trucks. As a whole, the enterprise is planning to allocate from 11 up to 14 billion tenge for support of the acting technology and purchase of equipment to replace obsolete equipment. It is scheduled to allocate 20 billion tenge more, as Acting Technical Director Galymbek Irgebayev says, for the implementation of the cycle-and-flow technology project.
Being an active member of the public association called Environmental Protection Yerken Aubakirov could not but asked a question on in what condition lands removed from the commercial turnover would be transferred to the town.
The informative answer to the elder was given by acting Technical Director Galymbek Irgebayev:
- Currently one of the stages of soil reclamation at our coal mine is internal dumping; the work will be continued in the future, according to the advancement of mining works. Besides, there is a liquidation fund, to which the partnership allocates funds on a permanent basis. For example, during the period of abandoning mining works some part of deductions from this fund will be used for nature protective and ecological measures, including for reclamation of soils, planting trees, bushes, and grass, etc. It should be especially noted that our enterprise allocated about 10-12 million tenge per year for planting a green belt.
The honorable citizen of Ekibastuz town, labor veteran Manat Syzdykov was interested in whether there was an opportunity of carrier development for the employees of Bogatyr Coal LLP.
By the opinion of Murat Abdygulov, there are all necessary conditions for it, all depends on strivings of company employees themselves. The enterprise pays the primary importance to the increase of professionalism of its employees. As recently as last year over five thousand employees passed the training in various courses. Seven people of them were sent to the training session in the central apparatus of JSC Samruk-Energo in Astana city. By General Director the company specialists participate in the resolution of short-term tasks of the holding rather often.
The labor veteran Samat Ramazanov appealed to orient the local youth at obtaining demanded mining specialties guaranteeing their further employment. Murat Abdygulov agreed with him:
- I share your opinion in full. In this direction Bogatyr Coal LLP has been closely connected with the local colleges, along with Ekibastuz Engineering and Technical Institute for long. The employees of the enterprise receive interest-free loans for paying their studies. Moreover, by my instruction the company develops the regulations, according to which the local youth will be able to receive a more perspective specialty demanded at our operations for account of Bogatyr Coal LLP's funds and with further employment in the company, but under the condition of them taking an obligation to work at the enterprise for five years minimum after the end of study.
Some other initiatives of the veterans-miners were understood and supported by General Director of Bogatyr Coal LLP. For example, meeting their wishes Murat Abdygulov gave the assignment to organize an excursion trip to Astana city for the pensioners of the enterprise. By the way, annually the company allocates 20 vouchers to Zhasybay Recreation Center for its veterans-miners; in addition to it 20 vouchers are allocated to disabled people and persons accompanying them. In conclusion of the summer season veterans get week-end vouchers. Nevertheless taking into account the requests of the veterans on increasing a quota giving a right to veterans to purchase vouchers with a 30%-discount the instruction was given to resolve this issue positively. It was resolved to consider some raised issues in the working order.
At the end of the meeting the veterans-miners thanked the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP one more time for the assistance rendered and attention paid.
