Caught Fish - Big and Little

Past Saturday the fishermen-amateurs from Bogatyr Komir LLP got together to take part in their traditional competition in ice-fishing. This year the competition took place on the ice of the third hydropower installation on the canal named after K.Satpayev. Total 11 teams of Bogatyr Komir LLP structural subdivisions took part in the championship. The general management of the competition was carried out by Igor Nekhoroshev, Shift Head of Bogatyr coal mine Overburden Complex. His active assistant was Dmitry Dekker, Power Dispatcher of Chief Power Engineer Service. Control of observance of the competitions regulations was made by the crew of linear judges chaired by Alisher Sadykov, Bogatyr coal mine Mechanic.

It should be noted the traditional competitions in ice-fishing among the employees of Bogatyr Komir LLP gather popularity year by year. This time Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department alone nominated five teams instead of traditional four. By the way, one of the teams consisted of the former employees of the partnership, who are pensioners now. The oldest participant - Aleksandr Maksimovich Makhnenko - will be 78 years old this year.

Despite the frosty morning and heavy fog, which covered the localities of the water basin, over 80 people got together; their mood was really combative. According to the competition conditions the jury had to determine a winner in three nominations: " The largest take", "The biggest fish", "The smallest fish". 3 hours were given for fulfillment of the task.

By the results of the team championship the best in fishing was the team of Track #8 Section of Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department. The second result was shown by the team of the veterans. The third team place was taken by the team of Ekspluatatsiya Rolling Stock Depot at Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department. As for the individual championship in the speed of drilling holes by boring tools with 130 mm diameter and 150 mm diameter the winners were Aleksandr Titov (Bogatyr coal mine) and Talgat Koishin (Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department). One needs to say in this kind of competitions Aleksandr Titov disputed a victory for the third year running. The bonus for the best fish story was awarded to Liliya Alekseevna Solovyova, head of the veterans' team with a single heart. The other participants of the competition were also given incentive gifts. The winners in the contests for the teams, which did not get the three prize places, were: the team of Overburden Complex of Bogatyr coal mine (Triad contest); the team from Railroad Equipment Maintenance Department (the contest "Biggest number of caught fish"); the team of Chief Power Engineer Service (the contest "The most equipped team"); the team from Track #8 Section of Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department (Relay Race of Team Drilling).

The winners and prize-holders in all the nominations of the ice-fishing "battle" got diplomas and prize money.
