Vacations for the Veterans

The management of the coal mining company – Bogatyr Coal LLP – brightened up the everyday life of the pensioners – former employees of the company. In honour of the 60-th anniversary of the Miner’s Day and Ekibastuz coal basin and on the eve of the state holidays, on June 18 the trip to the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, was organized.
Once coal miners-activists having the long work experience and different awards in their reserve, responded the invitation of organizers with pleasure, despite the venerable age and forthcoming long road.
Actually, the trip turned out to be not so far and tiresome. According to one of the participants, the bus drivers – Sergey Anatolievich and Valeriy Anatolievich – treated their passengers with the special attention and care. That was why, the travelling time spinned away.
Astana sight-seeing tour impressed the veterans greatly. They visited the main symbol of the capital – Baiterek, the main depository of the newest history of Kazakhstan – the Museum of the First President. One more item in the excursion program was the largest mosque of the Central Asia called Khazret Sultan with the capacity up to 10 thousand people. The former Bogatyr coal miners went down, to the sea bottom. The seaquarium of Duman entertainment centre met the quests from Ekibastuz with the rich ocean fauna.
The veterans came home full of emotions from the visit of the places of interest in the capital. However, their program was not finished there. On June 25 the veterans were invited to the museum of the Labour Glory of Bogatyr Coal LLP. Here again, like many years ago, they took a dive in the atmosphere of the “native” enterprise. Some of them found themselves in numerous black-and-white pictures in the museum. Looking at the model of Bogatyr coal mine the former coal miners found the sections where they had been working. To thank for the visit the veterans presented a photo-album to the museum, in which the best pictures had been collected reflecting the veterans as active participants of Bogatyr Coal LLP life for the past several years.
The improvised vacations for the pensioners finished in the part near Akku-Club. Here they fulfilled the very important mission during the unmerciful oppressive weather – they participated in watering young plantlets planted on the day of subbotnik this spring.

- We would like to sincerely thank the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP, the Public Fund, the Trade Union Committee for the attention to us. They have arranged so many exciting events for us. We visited Astana. The trip has brought the real enjoinment to us. The joy of meetings, communication and learning… We recollected our past and shared news with each other, because in the day-to-day life we do not manage to do it often. The meeting with those, with whom you spent the large part of your life side by side at our coal mining enterprise, no doubt, is very pleasant. Despite the fact we are not workers nowadays, it is important for us to know how our enterprise lives, we are not indifferent to its fate. We are very glad the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP remembers about us, it remembers the labour, which we had contributed to our enterprise.
