On the way to a cherished dream

Sportive Bogatyr 

Recently in the family of Tulegen Mukhanov, Sales Manager from Marketing Department of Bogatyr Coal LLP Direction on Sales and Coal Markets, a pleasant event took place. Tulegen’s son – a fifteen-year-old Almaz Mukhanov – came home from the Open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Taekwondo ITF having gained a silver medal in the age category from 14 through to 17 years in the weight up to 65 kg. The trip to Almaty, where the competition was held, became possible only thanks to the sponsorship support rendered by the management of the coal company.

Being fifteen, Almaz is a candidate master, black belt holder – first dan, a four times champion of Kazakhstan and prize-holder of many international competitions on taekwondo. Behind his back there are twenty medals. By the words of Almaz’ father, most of them are gold ones. These achievements are the result of the ten-year training of the boy. Going in for sports is not an obstacle for his school lessons: the pupil of the 9 А grade of secondary school # 23 is a straight A student and claimant for Altyn belgi title.

It was Almaz’ father, who implanted the love of sport to him. The first education of the sales manager is sports. And currently he leads an active life, defends his enterprise in sport competitions of different levels and is a member of Samruk Energo team.

Currently a young sportsman holding forth a hope gets trained in the Pavlodar branch of the National Sport Federation of Taekwondo with Sergey Melnikov as his coach. Now he is on the way to his cherished dream – to become a master of sports. Tulegen Mukhanov said the last championship and one more medal made it closer: the son defends this title hard participating in various competitions and taking various prizes. That is why, it is especially encouraging that the management of the coalmining company he is working for, met him half-way and helped to make the trip.

- I would like to express my special thanks to the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP represented by General Director Victor Shchukin and the Chairman of Bogatyr Coal LLP Trade Union Committee Kairula Turatayev for the attention given and financial aid allocated. The participation in this championship is vital to us. By its results the national team of Kazakhstan will be formed to participate in a World Championship, European cup, Asian cup and Asian Championship. We will hope Almaz will join the team. Later, if he takes a prize in one of these competitions, he will be able to become not just a master of sports, but a world-class athlete.
