Last weekend the administration and the trade union committee of Bogatyr Coal LLP held the first ever out tournament in football among the veterans for the prize of Aleksandr Ivanovich Shmeer. In autumn this year there will be one year from the day of his death. Having been the Head of the trade union committee of Bogatyr Coal LLP Aleksandr Shmeer made the big contribution into development of sport at the enterprise. In the past he was the active football player of the coal miners’ team. By the idea of the organizers, the decision was made to make the cup annual.
In the debut match of the Memory Cup four teams took part – Locomotive (Bogatyr Loading and Transportation Department, captain – Aleksandr Petrov), Gornyak (Bogatyr mine, captain – Nurken Bakishev), Labor resources (Mining and Transportation Equipment Maintenance Plant, Executive staff, captain – Tulegen Mukhanov) and Avtomobilist (Railroad Equipment Maintenance Department, captain – Ramazan Imangaliev). Among the desperate football players-veterans, who had worked for 40 years and more at the enterprise, one could also see newcomers from the working youth of Bogatyr Coal, LLP.
The football players were fighting for the prizes on August 23rd in the recently renovated sport field of Beryozka recreation center. By the results of the entertaining matches Locomotive and Gornyak teams got into the final. In the final game Locomotive won the opponent with a 2:0 score, having got the first prize. The composition of the team-winner was Serik Mamaliev, Evgeniy Soloshenko, Yury Tyurin, Vitaliy Kolesnikov, Aleksandr Petrov, Mikhail Ivanov, Dmitry Minakov, Murat Alhmetsharipov and Vladimir Chepurnov.
The prize-winners and participants of the Memory Cup were awarded with memorable gifts and valuable prizes from the management of Bogatyr Coal LLP headed by its General Director Viktor Shchukin and the trade union committee headed by Kairula Turatayev.
