In 2009 Bogatyr Coal, a joint venture of Samruk Kazyna Kazakhstani National Welfare Fund and RUSAL Russian company sold its customers as much 34.8 million tons of coal including 20.85 million tons sold the power enterprises of Kazakhstan and 13,95 million tons sold the power enterprises of Russia.

On the eve of Miners’ Day the Honor Board of Bogatyr Coal, LLP has been renewed: the old portraits of the best workers by the results of the company’s activity in 2008 were carefully removed and packed, and on their place there are seventeen new portraits now.

By the оld-established tradition the miners of Bogatyr Coal, LLP on the eve of the professional holiday give the names of their best representatives. They are awarded with departmental awards, they are honored at solemn meetings, they are given diplomas and cash bonuses.

Bogatyr Coal, LLP always improves the management system in accordance with the International Standards. In connection with this the Quality Policy of Bogatyr Coal, LLP has been approved at the company. This large and laborious work was successful: in 2006 the Company got the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate. The certificate confirms that the quality management system at Bogatyr Coal, LLP has been acknowledged as one meeting the requirements of the International Standards. The certificate has been given by British Certification Company Moody International. The coal and crushed stone mining and transportation as well as repair of mining-and-technological equipment were as the scope of the certification. The certificate suggests that the management system has been built so that it allows the getting of foreseeable result and it is aimed at satisfaction of requests of business partners.

In 2006 the Company also got the ISO 14001:2004 certificate, which confirms the meeting of the environmental management system developed at the company with the requirements of the International Standard. The certificate has been given by the International Certification Association TUEV SUED Industrie ServiceGmbH. The availability of the certificate is an evidence of that Bogatyr Coal, LLP is carrying out a large and serious work directed to prevention of any ecological violations and trying to reduce the negative effect on environment step by step.
