JSC Samruk-Energo was registered on May 10, 2007 with the purpose to develop and implement the long-term state policy on upgrading existing generation capacities and introduction of new generating capacities.

  Currently there are 19 companies in the group.

 

The total number of personnel in the group of companies is 13,747 people.

 

   The main types of activity and main products:

• power generation

• heat power generation

• power transmission and distribution

• steam coal production

• reconstruction, expansion and construction of power units

   The daughter companies have licenses for generation, transmission and distribution of power and heat power; electric stations, electric networks and substations operation; solid minerals mining; design, manufacture, assembly, and maintenance of power equipment.
