The united company, the world largest manufacturer of aluminum, was created in March 2007 as a result of unification of RUSAL company, taking the third place in the world on aluminum production, SUAL Group, being among ten world largest aluminum producers, and alumina assets of the Swiss company Glencore. The company has the enterprises on bauxite and nephelinic ore mining, production of alumina, aluminum and alloys, metalized paper and packing materials on its basis, and also power assets. About 72 thousand people work for the enterprises of the company on five continents in 19 countries of the world.
